IT IS IMPORTANT
TO DECIDE WHEN USING YOUR BRAIN WHICH MODE OF OPERATION IS BETTER FOR
YOU- DO YOU THINK OR
MERELY ACT ON THE EMOTION OF THE MOMENT. BOTH
METHODS OF OPERATION HAVE THEIR ADVANTAGES and disadvantages.
Acting on the emotion of the moment is easier but tends to have less
fortunate far reaching results. Obviously winners of the yearly Darwin
awards have adopted this mode of operating. This year's winners of the
Darwin awards were a young couple who decided to make love on a freeway
and were run over by a truck. Perhaps a little thinking would not have
gone astray here. Thinking is somewhat difficult if you do not
practice this skill frequently but tends to put you in a better position
in the future, for example not in a correctional facility.
If you have spent hours and hours trying to figure out why some-one has
behaved in a particular way and you cannot work out a reason never
underestimate absolute stupidity. Sometimes it is just that simple.
Nanny's philosophy of life was to do what seemed like a good idea at the
time, and do it as hard as possible. It had never let her down."

do anything last night that suggested I was sane?"
"Some humans would do anything to see if it was possible to do it. If
you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying
'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even
have time to dry." (for more information about this aspect of
humanity go to Mad Bastards.)
"Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time."
"I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box
when there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it."
"His progress through life was hampered by his tremendous sense of his
own ignorance, a disability which affects all too few."
